The Garden Symposium: Speaking of Gardening Symposium August 28th- 29th, 2009 Two days of garden lectures by five highly regarded designers, authors, horticulturists, research specialists and nurserymen are sure to provide participants new ideas and inspiration. Topics include private and public design experiences, new plants from NCSU breeding program, grasses and designing with grasses, new perennials from Jellitto and the Human Flower Project. Speakers include: • Joe Ecke and Wayne Winterrowd authors, designers and gardeners of North Hill Garden, Vermont; • Allen Bush director of special projects of Jelitto Perennial Seed; • John Hoffman owner of Hoffman Nursery, • Tom Ranney North Carolina State University professor specializing new plant evaluation and development • Fred Hooks co-owner of All Things Acer, formerly of Post Properties. Please join us to celebrate the best plants have to offer! Fee includes six lectures, book signing, plant giveaway, lunches and snacks.
